About story-ui

Story UI Story UI is a workspace inside your Storybook for composing screens from the design system that is actually installed in the project. Describe what you want; the server discovers your components (from the package's type declarations, from local source, and from Storybook's own index), asks a model to write a file with them, writes the file, and shows it in Storybook's own preview iframe. The preview is not a sandbox: it is your Storybook, your providers, your theme, your tokens. Once a story exists you change it in two different ways.
